Hanging pouches
Hanging pouches
Every person, military, fisherman, tourist or ordinary active person, will appreciate the convenience of hanging pouches. All modern armies and special forces widely use such devices when performing combat tasks and during training. They allow fighters to freely run, crawl, disembark from armor, while without fear of losing ammunition and other vital items and provide quick and easy access to them. These products provide really quick access to items that may be urgently needed.
There is one important rule, bodywork should be placed symmetrically - according to weight and shape. It is best to leave the stomach and chest free. In the course of hostilities, it is often necessary to crawl, the hanging equipment will interfere with this in this case. Some soldiers note that the stores on the belly are additional protection, and this is true. But today, individual armor has become lighter and more efficient, so transferring the necessary pieces from the chest to the belt looks like a more thoughtful decision.
Purpose and purpose, design features
Hanging tactical pouches are strong and durable products of small size, which have a light weight and a convenient shape. They are made of dense fabric (polyester, "Oxford", nylon, polyamide, polyurethane), which in some cases is impregnated with a substance that repels water and prevents its penetration inside.
The main purpose of the military pouch is to preserve your back by transferring the load from the shoulders, torso and chest as low as possible, preferably to the hips. Thanks to the Molle system, you can put a lot of useful things in these devices, and such a body kit is literally at hand.
What will be hung on the belt depends solely on the individual decision. Each person composes and adjusts the "set" according to needs, set tasks and priorities.
It is quite important to pay attention to the fastener. It must hold the entire payload, given the above, it must be reliable. A steel fastener is the strongest, but today there are plastic options that are quite reliable, light and quite durable. When buying, you need to look at its quality of execution. Also, there are modular tactical bags with a padded back for comfortable carrying, as well as additional rings and carabiners for attaching anything else you need.
The specified items differ in design features and dimensions depending on the purpose. But all models have a convenient location - they are fixed on the hip, belt, belt, backpack or vest, so you can easily get the desired item. Due to their practicality, they have become popular among civilians as well, although from the beginning they were manufactured specifically for military personnel in order to ensure the comfort of using military ammunition such as:
- transfer of small arms stores;
- for grenades;
- for knives;
- placement of tactical glasses and tactical lights;

Origin and history
It is believed that hanging pouches appeared in the 17th and 18th centuries after the invention of the system of loading weapons based on cartridges (cases containing gunpowder and bullets). To protect them from moisture and transportation, pouches were used. In the 19th century, the pouch turned into a small container attached to the belt or thighs, which contained a supply of cartridges. In the 20th century, automatic and semi-automatic weapons appeared, which require magazines with a significant number of cartridges, so the pouch was adapted to contain a certain number of interchangeable magazines.
Also, over time, the materials used to make this product have changed. Initially, it was made mostly of leather and fabrics, but today they are made of synthetic fireproof and waterproof fabrics. In the army of Ukraine, the standard magazine for the AK-74 contains four magazines, made of synthetic fabrics.
